Mitchell

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Mitchell is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who brings

both clinical expertise and a compassionate, down-to-earth presence to his work with patients.

He began his journey in nursing at the University of Toledo, where he received his undergraduate

degree, and later went on to earn his Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. Having

recently moved to Oregon, Mitchell is eager to become part of the Pacific Northwest community

and looks forward to assisting patients across the region with their mental health needs.

Mitchell’s career as a nurse has spanned a variety of settings—from providing bedside support in

hospitals, to working alongside anesthesiologists in operating and procedural rooms, to serving

patients in outpatient environments. This wide range of experience has honed not only his

clinical abilities but also his adaptability and understanding of patients facing diverse health

challenges. He prides himself on being able to meet people wherever they are, bringing practical

experience and sensitivity to every interaction.

As a psychiatric prescriber, Mitchell fully understands the stigma that continues to surround

mental health care, and he never takes lightly the trust that patients place in him. He considers it

a genuine honor to support individuals through the complexities of mental health diagnosis and

treatment, always striving to ensure that his patients feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

Mitchell’s philosophy centers on seeing the human being before seeing the symptoms; he makes

it a priority to ensure each patient feels not just listened to, but understood and valued as an

individual. He fosters a collaborative atmosphere where his patients can feel comfortable

working not only with him but with their entire mental health team. By integrating a humanistic

and holistic perspective, Mitchell’s ultimate goal is to empower patients—helping them gain

confidence in their own ability to make meaningful progress, and supporting them every step of

the way as they work to improve their wellbeing.
